2016. Two entrepreneurs try to close their accounts with a cloud service company. Not only is this not possible, but their data remains property of the said company. This was the spark that ignited the idea of a new decentralised ethical cloud.
Based on technology that is totally independent of the major players, they have designed a web operating system Drumee OS enabling collaborative communication without the need to use the cloud.
Drumee OS natively integrates the main collaborative tools and is hosted by the customers themselves without the need to use large, non-confidential cloud tools.
Simplify with a new generation of interface
With the growth of the cloud, there is a growing need to greater simplicity and efficiency of interfaces has emerged. The old concept of static online drives must give way to the innovative concept of idynamic interface like a "computer".
At the same time, the multiplicity of apps in all directions creates a major discomfort with a lack of consistency / integration and scattered files. In response, Drumee has developed an "all in one" collaborative desk. The main collaborative tools have been redesigned, recreated and integrated with each other.
Innovating to tackle the ecological problem of the cloud
The web will soon become the world's biggest energy consumer. Many marketing pitches claim to use renewable energies, but this is not true. neither verifiable nor even a solution, because renewable energy can only power a tiny part of the web.
The only solution is to work towards reduce web consumption and in particular to reduce the number of data centres and their power consumption. This is what Drumee has developed, reducing server consumption by a factor of four and enabling decentralisation of the cloud.
